Major bomb-threat hoaxes at U.S. polling places amid Election Day tensions

Multiple polling locations in New Jersey received bomb threats early on Election Day, forcing precincts to evacuate or redirect voters in key counties including Bergen, Essex, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean & Passaic. A juvenile suspect was arrested. Meanwhile, Donald Trump publicly attacked California’s mail-ballot system and deployed federal election monitors there, raising concerns about voter confidence and interference.
