Man Denied BMW Goes on Rampage, Crashes Car Through Dealership Showroom (Video)

A Florida man who was denied financing for a $130,000 luxury sports car allegedly responded by driving his own vehicle straight through the windows of a BMW dealership, causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage before attempting to steal the car he wanted.

Now, newly circulated police bodycam footage is giving viewers a closer look at the bizarre incident, showing shattered showroom windows, stunned employees and officers investigating what happened.

The crash occurred February 25, 2025, at BMW of Gainesville in northern Florida, but the case has attracted renewed attention after police footage was published online in October 2026.

Kevin Alexander Leiman, who was 20 at the time, had visited the dealership hoping to purchase a 2025 BMW M4 CS, a high-performance sports coupe valued at approximately $130,000.

According to Gainesville police, Leiman became upset after his financing application was denied and employees refused to let him take the expensive vehicle for a test drive.

But investigators say the situation quickly escalated beyond an ordinary disagreement over a car purchase.

An employee told officers that Leiman became verbally aggressive while staff members attempted to explore other financing options.

He then allegedly entered an office, opened drawers and grabbed a vehicle key.

When an employee explained that the key belonged to another car and instructed him to leave, Leiman reportedly returned it and walked outside.

However, he didn’t leave the property.

Instead, investigators say he remained in his vehicle in the parking lot for several hours.

During that time, a dealership employee moved the BMW M4 CS back into the showroom.

Minutes later, Leiman allegedly began driving around the building before suddenly accelerating toward the dealership’s large glass windows.

His vehicle smashed through the storefront, sending glass and debris across the showroom and damaging the building and a BMW displayed inside.

Surveillance footage reviewed by investigators captured the violent impact.

In newly released bodycam video shared by the YouTube channel Patrol Cam Live, officers can be seen examining the damage and reviewing the dealership’s security recordings.

As one officer watches the vehicle approach the building, he points out how the driver appears to accelerate just before the collision.

“Oh, you see that acceleration too,” the officer remarks.

The damage was extensive, but the situation reportedly became even stranger after the crash.

According to the arrest report, Leiman got out of his vehicle, entered the dealership office and continued searching through drawers for the keys to the expensive BMW.

Investigators also allege that he punched an employee in the face during the confrontation.

Despite repeated demands from staff members to leave, Leiman allegedly continued looking for the keys before eventually fleeing the building on foot.

Police located him a short distance away.

The bodycam footage shows officers questioning and detaining Leiman, who makes several unusual statements while investigators attempt to determine what happened.

At one point, he tells officers, “You guys are all stuck.”

Authorities requested that Gainesville Fire Rescue personnel examine him before he was transported to jail.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the vehicle crashing into the building, and firefighters determined that the dealership remained structurally sound.

The financial damage, however, was substantial.

According to the arresting officer, repairs to the showroom were expected to cost approximately $50,000.

Broken glass also damaged the protective covering and paint finish of the BMW M4 CS, with an additional $5,000 in estimated repairs.

Initial police estimates placed the total damage even higher, at approximately $60,000.

Leiman was arrested and charged with attempted grand theft of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief involving property damage exceeding $1,000.

He was booked into the Alachua County Jail on February 25, 2025.

Court records cited in local reporting indicated that Leiman had no prior criminal history and was unemployed at the time of his arrest.

Following his initial court appearance, Judge Meshon Rawls ordered him released on his own recognizance, meaning he did not have to post bail.

His release came with several conditions, including participation in substance abuse and mental health treatment programs and a nightly curfew from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The newly circulated footage has brought fresh attention to the case, particularly because of the unusual sequence of events.

What began as an unsuccessful attempt to finance a luxury sports car allegedly turned into a destructive confrontation that left dealership employees facing a shattered showroom and an expensive repair bill.

It also provides a glimpse into how officers reconstructed the incident using witness statements, surveillance recordings and evidence collected at the scene.

Although the arrest and initial charges were widely reported in 2025, the latest available coverage does not establish whether Leiman was subsequently convicted or whether the criminal case has reached a final resolution.

The accusations therefore remain allegations unless established through court proceedings.

For the Gainesville dealership, the encounter was anything but an ordinary day of selling luxury vehicles.
