Five Men Stabbed in Broad Daylight Attack on Busy Street

A busy west London street turned into a crime scene Friday afternoon after five men were injured in a violent stabbing incident that left residents shaken and police scrambling for answers.

The attack happened on Horn Lane in Acton at around 2:47 p.m., according to the Metropolitan Police.

Officers were already patrolling the area when they were alerted to a violent confrontation unfolding in the street. Police said five men were involved in the incident and were assaulted and stabbed.

Four of the injured men, ages 20, 22, 42 and 47, were rushed to the hospital with stab wounds.

Police officers provided emergency first aid to all five men at the scene before paramedics arrived.

The London Ambulance Service said it received a call about the incident at 2:46 p.m. and sent multiple emergency crews to the area, including ambulance teams, an advanced paramedic, tactical response paramedics, an emergency planning officer and an incident response officer.

“We treated five people at the scene and took them to hospital as a priority,” a London Ambulance Service spokesman said.

Photos reportedly circulating in local community groups appeared to show injured men being treated outside an electrical goods shop.

Police confirmed a man has been arrested in connection with the attack.

Chief Superintendent Jill Horsfall said officers understand the stabbing will alarm people living and working nearby.

“We recognise this will be concerning for the local community and want to reassure them that our detectives are working quickly to establish exactly what has taken place,” she said.

She added that residents should expect to see more police in the area over the next several days.

“If you have any concerns, please come and speak to our officers,” Horsfall said.

Authorities are still investigating what sparked the confrontation.
