A wild brawl at a San Francisco Giants game left four people under arrest and three others facing citations after a verbal argument reportedly exploded into violence.
The fight broke out at around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, during the Giants’ game against the Colorado Rockies at Oracle Park, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
Officers already working at the ballpark rushed in and detained seven people.
“The preliminary investigation determined the altercation was the result of a verbal dispute that turned physical,” police said in a statement. “Officers developed probable cause to place four of the subjects under arrest and cite the other three subjects.”
Footage of the melee obtained by the New York Post shows several people throwing punches as the fight spilled from a field-level seating area and moved across the aisle.
At one point, a man appears to kick a woman after she was knocked to the ground. Other fans eventually stepped in and helped separate those involved.

Police said the four people arrested ranged in age from 21 to 29. They face charges that include disturbing the peace and public intoxication.
One of the suspects was also charged with assault likely to produce great bodily injury.
All four were taken to the San Francisco County Jail and booked on the charges.
The other three people, who ranged in age from 22 to 26, were cited for disturbing the peace and later released. One of them was also cited for public intoxication.
The Giants condemned the violence and said everyone involved would be banned from returning to Oracle Park.
“This was a horrible and intolerable display of behavior,” a team spokesperson said. “SFPD made multiple arrests, and those involved will be banned from the park.”
The Giants went on to beat the Rockies 8-2 on Thursday night. Colorado returned the following day and won 4-3 on Friday, July 10. The teams were scheduled to meet again in San Francisco on Saturday, July 11.
Police said Saturday that the investigation remains active and ongoing.
