A 57-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after she was violently thrown from a small roller coaster at an amusement park in Ecuador, with terrifying video capturing the moment she tumbled from the moving ride.
The accident happened on the night of Monday, July 20, at a temporary amusement park operating inside Parque Samanes in northern Guayaquil.
Footage shared across social media shows the woman riding the attraction, described locally as a “mini roller coaster,” as it travels around the track. When the car reaches a curve, she suddenly appears to lose her balance before being launched from the ride and falling approximately 10 to 13 feet to the ground.
Other passengers can be heard screaming in horror as witnesses rush toward the injured woman.
She remained conscious and could reportedly be heard complaining of severe pain while bystanders called for an ambulance. Emergency responders transported her to a hospital for urgent treatment, although officials had not released a detailed update on her injuries or condition as of Wednesday.

Early reports claimed the woman was not secured by a seat belt at the time of the accident. Some amusement park employees reportedly suggested she may have fainted during the ride and lost her balance, but that explanation has not been officially confirmed.
Authorities are investigating whether defective equipment, inadequate restraints or other safety violations played a role in the terrifying fall.
The case took an even more troubling turn when Guayaquil officials revealed that the amusement park had allegedly been operating without the required municipal authorization.
City inspectors shut down the rides following the accident and placed closure notices around the site. The amusement park remained closed while officials examined the equipment and investigated how the operation was allowed to open without proper permits.
The disturbing footage quickly spread online, sparking questions about whether the woman had been properly restrained and whether the ride had undergone adequate safety inspections before carrying passengers.
No arrests or criminal charges have been announced, and authorities have not said when—or whether—the amusement park will be permitted to reopen.
