A Kansas City man ended up in a seriously messy situation after becoming trapped beneath the seat of a portable toilet, forcing firefighters to cut the structure apart to rescue him.
Video from the bizarre scene shows members of the Kansas City Fire Department surrounding the porta-potty as they use an electric saw to slice through the plastic.
The man can be heard stuck somewhere beneath the toilet bowl while firefighters carefully work to create an opening large enough to pull him out.
It remains unclear exactly how he managed to become trapped in such an unpleasant spot.

As the rescue continued, firefighters could be heard giving the man instructions and telling him when to come out. At one point, he repeatedly shouted, “Listen!” from inside the toilet while crews stayed focused on freeing him.
Firefighters eventually managed to pull the man out safely, according to reports.
The rescue reportedly ended with the man receiving a much-needed hose-down beside a fire truck.
There are bad bathroom breaks, and then there is getting trapped inside a porta-potty badly enough that firefighters have to cut you free.
