Donald Trump’s golf-loving granddaughter just dropped a bombshell on social media—she’s recovering from wrist surgery and ready to return to the green, pain-free.
Eighteen-year-old Kai Trump revealed she recently went under the knife to fix damage in her left wrist. “I underwent left wrist surgery to address injuries to the stabilizing tissues of my ECU tendon and damage to my triangular fibrocartilage complex,” she shared with fans.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Thomas Graham at Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute, and Kai says she’s “excited” to rehab and get back to golf—her lifelong passion.
Kai, who committed to the University of Miami’s 2026 golf class, has been grinding on the course and even shared a recent moment with Masters champion Rory McIlroy. But her rising sports career isn’t the only thing turning heads.
The teen also opened up about the awkward reality of dating under Secret Service watch. Appearing on Logan Paul’s podcast, Kai admitted it’s tough to have a normal night out when agents are sitting “two tables behind.”
“It was not easy having someone following you all the time,” she said. “But once I was like: ‘Their only job is to protect me. I’m going to focus on my stuff,’ it made it so much easier.”
Kai added that things got more intense ever since Donald Trump became president again, and she’s had to adjust quickly to life under the spotlight.
Despite her famous last name, Kai says she wants nothing to do with politics. “I would never run,” she declared, distancing herself from any political ambitions. She also brushed off rumors of tension with Vice President Kamala Harris, calling the idea of “bad blood” overblown.
“I think if both sides met in the middle, everyone would be so much happier,” she said. “There’s radical left, radical right, and a lot of people who get too extreme… I’m very much in the middle.”
And for anyone wondering if Trump’s considering a third run in 2028? Kai says no—at least not for now. “A lot could happen,” she teased.
One thing’s for sure: between surgery, golf, and navigating life in the public eye, Kai Trump is already playing in the big leagues.
