A shocking video out of Pennsylvania is sparking outrage online after a former sheriff’s deputy was caught on camera slamming his car into a mother and her two children while they crossed the street — and still managed to avoid getting a criminal record.
The terrifying incident happened in November 2025 and shows a Pennsylvania mother walking hand-in-hand with her young children across a marked crosswalk in what should have been a routine moment.
Then, out of nowhere, a red car barrels into them.
The horrifying footage shows the two children being launched into the air and thrown onto the pavement as their mother screams in shock and fury.
Moments later, the devastated mother pounds on the hood of the car before rushing to check on her injured children.

Many viewers who watched the viral footage assumed the driver would face serious criminal consequences.
Instead, the case has triggered widespread anger after it was revealed the driver — 23-year-old Gunnar Vuocolo — will reportedly avoid having a criminal record altogether.
At the time of the crash, Vuocolo was employed by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
He was later charged with reckless driving, careless driving, and four counts of reckless endangerment, along with additional traffic-related offenses.
But rather than facing a criminal conviction, Vuocolo was reportedly accepted into Pennsylvania’s Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program, commonly known as ARD. The program allows some first-time offenders to avoid a permanent criminal record if they complete court-ordered requirements.
The decision immediately sparked backlash online, with many people arguing the punishment doesn’t come close to matching the severity of the crash.
“This is insane,” one commenter wrote after watching the footage circulate online.
Others questioned whether Vuocolo’s connection to law enforcement helped him avoid harsher consequences.
The former deputy is no longer employed by the sheriff’s office, though Sheriff Kerry Stover insisted the crash itself was not the reason for his departure.
According to Stover, Vuocolo was unable to complete the requirements needed to become a state-certified deputy and was forced to resign after failing to qualify for the training academy within the required timeframe.
Meanwhile, the children’s mother says the emotional damage to her family has been devastating.
“The emotional impact on our family is profound and ongoing,” she said. “What happened has changed our sense of safety and trust.”
In an emotional statement, she also directly addressed Vuocolo.
“As a parent, all you ever want to do is protect your children,” she said. “My children deserve justice.”
After seeing the footage, many online appear to agree.
