A horrifying domestic attack in Alabama has left a mother dead, a father critically wounded and a 17-year-old boy accused of turning on his own parents after an argument over discipline.
Samantha Baker, 37, and her husband, Lance Baker, 46, were found suffering from multiple stab wounds outside their home in the Belforest community of Baldwin County around 9 p.m. Sunday, according to WALA.
Authorities say the couple had tried to escape after their teenage son allegedly attacked them following an argument over the child being disciplined. The violence reportedly unfolded both inside and outside the family’s home.
Samantha, a realtor, was pronounced dead. Lance, a U.S. Army Reserve Battalion Commander, was flown to a hospital in critical condition.
The Bakers had met while serving in the U.S. Army Reserve. Lance is a 26-year veteran and was serving as Battalion Commander with the 1184th Deployment and Distribution Support Battalion in Mobile, according to Alabama.com.
Neighbors said the scene was terrifying as Lance, badly wounded and covered in blood, escaped the home and ran door to door begging for help.
“That was probably the hardest part — was pulling up my camera and listening to it and listening to the father yelling for help… please help me… I don’t want to die,” neighbor Shawn Scurry told WALA.
“And it just carried on down and it looks like he was trying to find an open door and I didn’t know where he was or where anybody was,” Scurry added.
The 17-year-old suspect, whose name has not been publicly released, allegedly stabbed both of his parents before barricading himself inside the home and calling police, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
The crime scene stretched roughly half a block through the private neighborhood, located about 17 miles east of Mobile across Mobile Bay. Officials described the attack as an isolated domestic incident.
The couple’s younger teenage son was not home at the time of the attack, police said.
The suspect, who was reportedly a rising high school senior based on his parents’ social media pages, is facing murder and attempted murder charges. Authorities said he will be tried as an adult.
He was being held on a $1 million bond after his arraignment on Monday.
As the community reels from the shocking violence, friends are remembering Samantha as a brave and loving woman.
“She was so brave, so caring, so joyful. I’m going to miss her so very much,” co-worker and friend April Shepherd wrote on Facebook.
Baldwin County Sheriff Capt. Justin Correa called the case heartbreaking.
“It is really sad. It’s very sad for this family, having to deal with it,” Correa said, according to WALA.

Sounds like the actions of a typical Democrat stoner junkie type…
