A Miami high school teacher is under fire after police say he repeatedly crossed the line with a teenage student—allegedly touching her inappropriately and even showing off a tattoo meant to symbolize his feelings for her.
Rudolph Infante, 53, a music teacher at Miami Southridge Senior High School, was arrested after a student came forward with disturbing claims about his behavior during piano lessons that began in August 2025.
According to investigators, what started as music instruction quickly turned uncomfortable. The student said Infante made unwanted comments and physical contact, including “side hugs” that made her uneasy and repeated touching of her shoulders, back, and arms. She also told police he placed his hand on her buttocks multiple times.
Authorities say Infante allegedly made inappropriate remarks to the teen, including, “If only I was 30 years younger,” and “You are so beautiful… I can’t wait to be with you.”
One of the most disturbing moments, according to the arrest report, happened when Infante allegedly pulled the girl onto his lap, grabbed her by the waist, and kissed her on the chest between her breasts while she sat there frozen in fear.
The student said she felt intimidated and scared, adding that she eventually stopped trying to resist because she didn’t think he would listen.
Police also say Infante took the girl’s phone at one point and typed his number into her Notes app with the message “Call Rudy.”
In another bizarre and alarming move, he allegedly lifted his shirt and showed her a tattoo of two hearts on his ribcage—telling her one heart represented him and the other represented her.
The teen reported the behavior to school officials in February, triggering an investigation that led to Infante’s arrest.
He is now charged with four counts of battery and one count of offenses against students by an authority figure. He has pleaded not guilty.
A judge released him on a $14,000 bond but ordered him to remain under house arrest with an ankle monitor. He is also barred from contacting the student or going near the school.
